The most westerly point of mainland England is Lands End. Lands End is the most visited outdoor tourist attraction in the County. There is lots for all the family to see and do. Lands End boasts stunning views, rugged wave lashed cliffs, the Longships Lighthouse and Wolf Rock off shore. The Isles of Scilly are offshore, in the distance and 2500 miles away across the Atlantic Ocean is America. Lands End. Why not have your photograph taken at the fingerpost, or visit the First and Last House. At dusk and dawn you can watch a spectacular sunset / sunrise over the sea. The site's owners are keen to conserve its natural beauty and encourage visitors to keep to the paths, and now every spring the cliffs are again a blaze of wildflowers, particularly thrift, untrampled by human feet. A good thing indeed.
