St Austell.

Links and Info;

Now the long awaited redevelopment seems to be moving forward, St Austell offers good property investments in the mid term. St Austell is a large town and many feel the inhabitants outnumber neighbouring Truro. Although the town center could do with more variety amongst its shops, the town as a whole would be a great place to bring up a family. Just out of the town center you will find the Asda and Tesco superstores and Cornish Market World is worth a look.

The town of St Austell is served by a direct train link to London and it is only 8 miles from the airport. The parish church is still the glory of St Austell, with its beautifully carved tower of Pentewan stone and the Eden Project is well worth checking out. The beach is about 2 miles from the town center and the Georgian harbour village of Charlestown offers views that are amongst the best in Cornwall. Give it a few years and St Austell will probably be as vibrant a town as Penzance or Newquay. St Austell does have an excellent college and a lot of potential, so it is worth a look, even if you spend just the weekend. Over all St Austell is a great base from which to explore Mevagissey, Fowey, Charlestown and many of the other local sights.
