Amanita muscaria grows almost everywhere in the northern hemisphere.
I remember I used to see them in a piece of woodland, when i was about 3 years old in the 70's.

A.muscaria is listed as poisonous in most mycology books.
There are conflicting reports on whether there has been a fatality caused by its use.
Its use is not common as there may be unpleasant side effects.
Alot of folklore is based on the effects/influence of these beauties. After centuries of scholarly debate, in his book
Soma: Divine Mushroom of Immortality (1968). Ethnomycologist R. Gordon Wasson conclusively identified Soma as Amanita muscaria.
Amanita muscaria contains ibotenic acid which breaks down to muscimole and muscazone,
psychoactive agents that would serve as a fine adjunct to shamanic ecstasis.
They are to be treated with the utmost caution.

Potency variation. It is recommended taking a very low dose to begin with. The potency of A.muscaria is highly variable from shroom to shroom. The Fly Agaric we sell comes from various countires and have been cleaned/dried correctly. Mushrooms from the same batch may have different effects. Effects=ratio of nausea/body/mental effects.
The layer of skin and material underneath is most potent. That is what we supply.
