Our grow bags are very simple to use. They can be used for both edible and exotic mushrooms.
Ideal for mycology novices and veterans alike. These mushroom grow bags are pre-sterilized,
and have a self healing rubber injector site. The grow bags contain all the nutrients your
mushrooms will need. Mycelium growth is rapid, which leads to faster cropping. We also supply
an alcohol swab. We have had great success growing some very tasty edibles.
Mushroom spore syringes are also available.
Below is general guide to growing mushrooms with the bags. Different conditions will be better for say, Oyster mushrooms...
so read up on the subject!
When you are ready to use your grow bag, disinfect your hands and work surfaces.
Wipe the self healing rubber injector site with the supplied swab.
5ml of spore solution is enough for 1 grow bag.
Heat the needle of your spore syringes
with a flame. After heating, squirt a little water out,
to cool the needle. Then inject through the self healing rubber injector site.
Now place the bag in the airing cupboard or somewhere warm (as a guide 23c for easy edibles, 28c for exotics)and wait. Within a week you will start to see mycelium
forming. Giving the bag a little shake will cause no harm. Within 2-3 weeks the mycelium should be
constant throughout the bag. If you then expose to light and drop temprature a little(23c for exotics), it will begin to fruit.
But the methods below increase yields.
After disinfecting your hands and a plastic container. Cut the top off grow bag and place contents into
the container. Spray with water, but dont drown it. Replace the lid and place under the bed or on top of a computer monitor.
Within a week you should see pinheads forming. If you can see even a little condensation, dont bother respraying until
you have picked them, to reduce contamination risk.
You need to pick the mushrooms before the veil underneath the cap opens. Mushroom spores
covering the mycelium will result in less mushrooms next flush. Picking time is the best time to spray
with water. If you dont open the grow box every day, you should get 3 flushes.

The rye grain bags are for creating spawn used with bulk substrates. They are suitable for both edible and exotic mushrooms.
For small-scale apps, grain can be used as a primary substrate or can be used to spawn more prepared grain. This allows you to extend a live culture or spawn to create more substrate mass to fruit from. They can be used to spawn bulk substrates like compost or pasteurized wheat straw to achieve greater yields.

This product is sold for use with any grain loving mushroom spores. They must be used straight away, if you can't
we suggest
storing them in the fridge for 7 days maximum.
If you order with spores you agree; Any supplied spores are intended for botanical specimen identification
and legitimate research/microscopic purposes only if it is illegal to grow P.cubensis in your country.
You can also keep for a later date on the off chance that the green party get voted in and legalise drugs.
We cannot give grow advice for Psilocybe mushrooms.
